Rockzilla began screening in Dec 2005 when Alt TV first hit the NZ television airwaves.

As NZ’s only independent music station, Alt TV was initially available free to air Auckland only on UHF62 but has since moved nationwide onto Sky Digital Channel 65.

The show was originally hosted by brothers Chris and Richard Yong for the first couple of years, both of whom are musicians themselves with their rock metal band Redline.

These days Chris continues to host the show, and at times is joined by various guest co-hosts.

Rockzilla is the premier rock metal show on Alt TV that showcases new and classic music video favorites, international and local every week.

This site “www.RockzillaTV.com” serves not only to back up the TV show but also as a place to find out about all sorts of music related stories of interest.

You can view Rockzilla every Saturday 9pm-10pm only on Sky Digital Channel 65.
